Terms of Use

Last updated January 2026

These terms govern use of the platform by students, lecturers and administrators. They are a design-phase template and will be finalised with the university.

1. Acceptance

By signing in you agree to these terms and to the acceptable use expectations of the university.

2. Accounts

Student accounts are created by registration or by enrolment. Lecturer and administrator accounts are created by invitation only. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

  • Use the platform for legitimate teaching and learning.
  • Do not attempt to access another user’s account, work or records.
  • Do not upload material you do not have the right to share.
  • Do not attempt to bypass assessment rules, timers or attempt limits.

4. Academic integrity

The AI tutor is a study aid. Submitting its output as your own work in an assessment, where that is not permitted, is an academic integrity matter handled under university policy. The platform does not award or alter official grades.

5. Course content

Course content belongs to its authors and the university. You may use it for your own study while enrolled. You may not redistribute it.

6. Availability

The platform is provided on a best-effort basis. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where possible. Assessment windows account for reasonable service interruptions.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.
