Accessibility statement
The Intelligent Tutoring System aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across complete workflows — not only individual components — including signing in, opening a lesson, taking and submitting an assessment, and reading feedback.
What we do
- Skip-to-content links and a logical heading order on every page.
- Full keyboard access with visible focus, and no keyboard traps.
- Accessible names for icon-only controls, and text alternatives for meaningful images.
- An accessible alternative to every drag-and-drop action.
- Status messages announced to assistive technology, and errors that identify the field and how to fix it.
- Charts that include a text summary and never rely on colour alone.
- Support for reduced motion, and touch targets sized for comfortable use.
- Clear page titles and breadcrumbs, with help placed consistently.
Timed assessments
Timed assessments show the remaining time clearly and warn before automatic submission. Approved accommodations — such as additional time or an alternative window — are applied without publicly identifying the student.
Known limitations
This is the design phase. Automated accessibility checks run against every route, and outstanding issues are tracked in the project’s implementation status document.
