Two clear journeys: learning and teaching

Students move through a short repeating cycle of learning, assessment and guidance. Lecturers build the course that cycle runs on and use its data to teach where it matters most.

The student journey

    Create an account and take a diagnostic

    After signing up and completing a short onboarding, each course begins with a diagnostic assessment. It does not count towards the grade; it sets a sensible starting point.

    Work through lessons

    Lessons are short and built around one or two knowledge concepts. A collapsible outline, notes area and downloadable resources sit alongside the reading.

  3. 3

    Answer questions and assessments

    Practice questions can be attempted freely. Graded assessments have a window, an attempt limit and a passing score. Answers autosave and an interrupted attempt can be resumed.

    Receive results and guidance

    Automatically marked questions return a provisional result immediately, with correct answers and explanations. Written answers stay marked as awaiting review until a lecturer grades them.

    Follow recommendations

    Weak concepts produce recommendations that name the triggering result, explain the expected benefit and link straight to the lesson or practice set.

    Ask the AI tutor

    For a specific question, the course-focused tutor answers from approved material and cites the lesson or document it used.

The lecturer journey

    Build the course

    Create a course, define learning outcomes and knowledge concepts, connect prerequisites, then arrange modules and lessons with drag-and-drop ordering and a keyboard alternative.

  2. 2

    Write content and add materials

    The lesson editor supports headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotations and uploaded resources. Materials for the AI tutor are uploaded as approved course documents.

  3. 3

    Create questions and assessments

    Build a question bank with multiple choice, multiple response, true/false, short answer and essay questions, each tagged with the concepts it assesses. Assemble assessments with pools, availability windows, attempts and a passing score.

    Enrol students

    Share a join code, enrol students manually, import a class list from CSV with a validation preview, or approve enrolment requests.

  5. 5

    Monitor performance

    Class and individual views show completion, scores and which concepts several students are struggling with. Every mastery decision can be overridden.

  6. 6

    Grade and publish

    Auto-graded work is separated from work awaiting review. Grade with a rubric, leave question-level and overall feedback, then publish results to the gradebook.
